Wildberries has appointed Tilek Sulaimanov as its director in Tajikistan, where he will oversee business development, the launch of new services and cooperation with local entrepreneurs and partners, the company announced.
Wildberries has operated in Tajikistan since April 2025. According to Wildberries’ press release, its online marketplace currently offers millions of products to customers in the country, with several dozen order pick-up points in operation. Tajik entrepreneurs can also register on the platform to sell their products.
The company said its strategy in Tajikistan focuses on expanding marketplace infrastructure and introducing tools to help local entrepreneurs develop their businesses.
“In Tajikistan, we want to make Wildberries a convenient platform for entrepreneurs where they can find new customers and grow their sales. Working with sellers and helping them understand the marketplace’s tools, we can see that local businesses have great potential for growth. I am confident that we will be able to realize it by developing e-commerce in the country together,” Sulaimanov said.
Before joining Wildberries, Sulaimanov reportedly spent several years at Yandex Kyrgyzstan, where he was responsible for developing existing services and launching new ones. He previously worked at Beeline Kyrgyzstan and Beeline Kazakhstan, managing corporate sales and overseeing sales and customer service offices.
Denis Pokhaznikov, director of the CIS Countries Development Department, said Sulaimanov’s experience in Central Asia would help the company better understand the local market and the needs of Tajik entrepreneurs.
