An unexpected event is set to send shockwaves through Hollyoaks next week, with Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) questioned by the police in the aftermath of what transpires.
The much-loved character, who staged a historic return to the eponymous village earlier in the year, was revealed last week to have had a secret romance with Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) while in LA.
But the secret passion wasn’t even the biggest part of the unexpected storyline, with a flashback episode filling in the blanks, confirming that Imran was the one behind Ste Hay’s (Kieron Richardson) kidnap.
Ste went missing in August when he vanished in a shopping centre. Months earlier, while bonding in LA, Cindy and Imran speculated about the possibility of taking revenge on Ste, who turned their lives upside down at one stage or another.
Cindy didn’t actually think he’d go through with it but ruthless Imran did just that, having Ste kidnapped and held against his will. Cindy was appalled and urged him to call it off but Imran refused, dragging Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) into the situation too.
Up Next
Word of Imran and Cindy’s secret romance has leaked out to various village residents, including Leah Barnes (Charlotte Alex Riley), who was hopeful that she and Imran could give things another go.
Next week, she remains hopeful but fears soon start to set in as she wonders if Imran is still ultimately in love with Cindy.
Little does she know, however, what he’s really hiding.
Later in the week, an unexpected event sends shockwaves through the village. Lucas, meanwhile, rushes to the police station to tell Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) the truth about Imran.
Will he believe him?
As things reach a dramatic peak, Cindy finds Imran and pleads with him to come clean. But will Imran do so? And either way, is this tale set to have a tragic end?
You’ll just have to wait and see but soon after Cindy is being questioned by the police in regards to recent events. But just what has happened?
