The Atlanta Dream moved 10,000 tickets for the WNBA Finals Game 6 against the Golden State Valkyries within just a couple of hours. But those Dream fans will not be witnessing a coronation for the home team. Instead, they could see the Golden State Valkyries crowned champions after their 64-55 Game 5 win to take a 3-2 lead over the Dream.

Veronica Burton and Kiah Stokes led the way with 13 points and eight rebounds apiece to lead the Valkyries to victory. The two helped make up for Gabby Williams’ off-night offensively. The Valkyries star finished with just nine points, her lowest scoring total in the entire postseason, on 3-of-14 shooting with six rebounds.
The first half of the game was extremely low-scoring as it finished 25-22 to the Valkyries. The offense finally started to open up in the second half, but the Valkyries were able to pull away and build a double-digit advantage in the fourth quarter.
Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 20 points in 39 minutes of action. Meanwhile, Angel Reese had another subpar game with just seven points and 15 rebounds. After her incredible start to the WNBA Finals, Reese has now scored just 15 points over the last two games while shooting a mere 4-of-20 from the field. Allisha Gray also continued to struggle with just 10 points after 13 points in her previous two games combined.
Now facing elimination at home, the Dream will be hoping their fans can truly make a difference and lift the team up in the crucial Game 6, which will be on Thursday.
