Coming off the team's first loss of the season, Joey McGuire said Texas Tech football could have a key offensive player back in the fold this week.
McGuire said Monday during his weekly press conference that the Red Raiders expect to have Cameron Dickey back on the field for this weekend's game against Arizona in Galaxy Stadium.
"He should be good to go," McGuire said of Dickey.
The Texas Tech running back has been cleared to practice on Tuesday, where he'll go through scout and individual work, and should return to a full participant on Wednesday and will know more about Dickey's status later in the week.
Dickey is second on the team in rushing, totaling 249 yards and four touchdowns on the season. He's missed the last two games after suffering a high ankle sprain in the win against Colorado. J'Koby Williams leads the team with 556 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
"I know he looked good last week," McGuire said, "and so it's going to be good to have him back. Just another guy that's been in some big games that's got a lot of experience and a lot of juice."
