The Arizona Cardinals had multiple key players out with injuries on Sunday in their 30-16 Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos. Head coach Mike LaFleur gave an update about those injuries and potential comeback on Monday when he addressed the media.
Here is the latest on their injuries and whether they will be coming back.
RB Jeremiyah Love
Love has been dealing with an ankle injury, and he missed the last two games after not practicing at all those weeks. LaFleur said Love will return to practice Wednesday. "We'll see how the week goes," he said.
S Andrew Wingard
Wingard suffered a bone bruise in his knee in Week 4 and did not practice for the last three weeks and missed all three games since then. LaFleur said Wingard would return to practice on Wednesday. It sounded like he plans on getting Wingard back in Week 8.
CB Max Melton
Melton injured his knee during the week last week. He missed the game on Sunday. LaFleur said, "I feel good about Max. He will be out there on Wednesday."
DL Walter Nolen
Nolen injured his ankle last week in practice and missed the game on Sunday. It doesn't sound like he will be back this week. LaFleur said he was "not expecting him probably at practice on Wednesday, but again, a lot can happen in these next two days."
The Cardinals will begin Week 8 practices on Wednesday as they get ready to face the Dallas Cowboys on the road.
