Donald Trump has gotten a lot of attention over the past few weeks for his repeated, enthusiastic commentary on the size, shape and musculature of the rear ends of some of his fellow Republican colleagues. But after waxing poetic about a series of guys’ glutes, Trump pivoted over the weekend during a Port Huron, Mich. campaign rally on Sunday (Oct. 25) to focus on his friend Nicki Minaj‘s assets.

After repeating his comments about the impressive structure of Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s posterior, Trump clarified, “off the record, women yes, men no.” Following a lengthy pause, the president doubled-down, saying, “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before … Nicki Minaj!” he smiled as the crowd laughed.
“That’s hard to miss!” Trump added as the camera swung to a guest section, where Minaj, wearing a first lady-style conservative two-piece business suit stood up at his urging as the leader of the free world repeated “that’s hard to miss!” Minaj, who has been an avid supporter of Trump during his second term, stood up and waved one finger in the air as she did a spin and wave.
“I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki,” said Trump, who has been hitting the road very hard over the past few weeks in an attempt to boost Republican prospects as polls suggest that Democrats are likely to win the House and potentially narrow the gap — or possibly flip — the Senate at a time when the second-term president is facing historically low poll numbers.
Trump later called Minaj up to the stage, where she led a chant of “We love Trump!” and she joked to the term-limited president, “if you run again I will support you again.”
The whole Trump team seemed to be on Team Nicki this weekend, with White House communications director Steven Cheung joking that he may have found a replacement for Katie Zacharia, the blink-and-you-missed-her White House press secretary who made history recently thanks to her historically short five-day tenure.
Cheung posted a video of himself talking to Minaj aboard Air Force One in which the rapper heaped praise on former reality TV star Trump’s business acumen at a time when the country is facing an affordability crisis caused by escalating food and gas prices due to the administration’s war in Iran and unpopular tariff regime.
Waxing on how Trump has repeatedly “worked his way out of not having a dollar in the bank” — a seeming allusion to the real estate mogul’s six bankruptcies — Minaj pegged Trump as “tough.” Cheung then teed up a question about the 80-year-old president’s stamina, opening the door for the “Bed of Lies” rapper to repeat Trump’s false claim that he won three presidential elections; Trump has frequently repeated the lie that he won the 2020 election, which he lost to former President Joe Biden.
“You see Americans looking at these fake news polls every single day, what’s your message to Americans about these fake news polls,” Cheung asked. Speaking as if reading from Trump-provided talking points, Minaj denigrated the “fake polls” and encouraged her fellow MAGA nation citizens to ignore them and not be deterred from voting.
Seemingly impressed with Minaj’s ability to stay on-message, Cheung captioned the post, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ.”
Minaj clearly appreciated the White House seal of approval, posting a selfie video from the highly secure presidential aircraft Air Force One in which she is introduced to Cheung after doing a walk around in a clip captioned, #AirForceOneBARBIE ✈️.” Minaj has been vocal about her support for the Republican party and Trump over the past year after meeting the president at the Trump Accounts Summit in January, where she dubbed herself his No. 1 fan.
Trump appreciated the praise and returned it during a presidential luncheon on July, where he called her a “fantastic person and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody … And she’s got real talent, Nicki Minaj. Nicki, stand up, please. Such a great person and respected by everybody.”
