Week 7 of the NFL season is officially in the books. From strong performances by teams like the Broncos and Bengals to disappointing losses by the Jets, Colts, and Ravens, Week 7 delivered plenty of surprises. Here’s a look at the Week 7 report card grades in the AFC.
MORE: NFL contenders & pretenders after Week 7
AFC East
New England Patriots: B-
The Patriots faced the Bears on Thursday night, and it was a close battle, but the Bears edged out Drake Maye. Maye was good once again, but the team could not contain Luther Burden III
New York Jets: C-
The Jets could not defeat the Dolphins in this one, and the struggles continue for this squad. Garrett Wilson has not seen the football very much, which is a big concern. Omar Cooper JR has looked very good these last few weeks. A tough loss for New York.
Miami Dolphins: A
The Dolphins find their first win in the Jeff Hafley era against the New York Jets. A big win for this young and upcoming roster. Ollie Gordon II has looked good, and this team must feel great finally getting their first victory.
Buffalo Bills: Bye Week
One of the best teams in the AFC gets a well-deserved bye week. The Bills will face the Baltimore Ravens, which will be very entertaining.
AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs: D+
The Chiefs come off the bye week, and Seattle buries them. The return to Seattle for Kenneth Walker III was disappointing, and their offensive line collapsed many times against the Seahawks defense.
Denver Broncos: A
The Broncos dominated the Cardinals, and the offense had a really good day putting up 30 points on the road. Some struggles still from Bo Nix in the passing game, but he utilized his legs and led the team in rushing.
Las Vegas Raiders: C+
The Raiders lost another home game, and they allowed the Rams offense to get hot early, and they tried to play catch-up, which won’t work against Los Angeles. Tre Tucker had another strong game for them offensively.
Los Angeles Chargers: Bye Week
The Chargers needed a mental reset, and this bye week will give this team some extra rest heading into their next game versus the Los Angeles Rams
AFC South

Houston Texans: C+
The Texans were 10.5-point favorites against the New York Giants and were unable to win this one. Nico Collins could not win his matchup against CB Deonte Banks, and CJ Stroud was unable to figure out this Giants defense in the later parts of the game.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Bye Week
The Jaguars hit the bye week to reset after a loss to the Texans. Their next game will be against the struggling Indianapolis Colts.
Indianapolis Colts: D+
The Colts need a reset on this roster because what they have is not working out. Is it more on the coach, or is this team just not good enough? The Vikings’ offense is not strong, and they gifted it to them.
Tennessee Titans: B-
The Titans lose a heartbreaker as Deshaun Watson leads a game-winning drive to silence their hope in improving. The offense was heavily led by Tony Pollard, who scored 3 touchdowns on the day.
AFC North

Baltimore Ravens: D+
This team continues to blow leads and lose another game in their division. Lamar Jackson needs to come back as soon as possible to save this team from falling even further.
Cincinnati Bengals: A+
Joe Burrow and the Bengals win a massive divisional game and come back trailing by 10 points. Tee Higgins had a monster day, and Jamaar Chase was impressive too. A big win for this squad as they improve to 4-2.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B+
The Steelers get a big win internationally against the Saints. This team continues to win games and has improved to 5-2. Things are getting very close in this AFC North and Aaron Rodgers is still playing at a high level.
Cleveland Browns: B-
The Browns win, but it wasn’t pretty. The Browns let the Titans stay in this game and had to go on a game-winning drive to win. The NFL is always tricky because it is a week-to-week process, but the Browns are more talented than them.
