Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly’s whirlwind romance appears to be getting serious as the pair were spotted together once again.
The burgeoning couple was seen leaving a music studio in Los Angeles on Friday morning, TMZ reported, noting that the rapper, born Colson Baker, was seen helping the Verity actress into his car before going about the rest of the day.
Later that night, Johnson and MGK were spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont around 11:30 p.m., and again in the back of a car.
When did they start dating?
The pair first sparked dating rumours last month after they “hit it off” at Travis Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
Johnson and MGK “started off as friends and were texting often, but now they’re spending more time together,” a source previously told People magazine.
“It’s a very new start, but they’re smitten with each other right now.”
The reported romance comes a couple months after Johnson and singer Role Model called it quits. Before that, the Fifty Shades star was in a years-long relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin until they ended things in 2025.
Kelly and Megan Fox, with whom he shares daughter Saga Blade, 2, split in 2024.
Megan isn’t losing sleep over MGK and Dakota dating
Fox is “completely unbothered” that her ex is dating Johnson.
“Megan’s put their former romance firmly in the rearview and has bigger things on her plate,” a source told TMZ. “She’s got no interest in getting involved in his love life.”
A source further told Page Six that Fox “doesn’t want him back” and is happy being single.
“Megan isn’t just unbothered by MGK dating Dakota — she’s actually relieved he’s moving on.”
The insider added: “She genuinely wants him to find happiness with someone else because she’s totally done with that chapter of her life. She doesn’t want him back, and she doesn’t want to keep revisiting their relationship.”
Maintaining her privacy
For what it’s worth, Johnson previously admitted that she has no interest in addressing personal aspects of her life.
“Even if I go to dinner with my manager or my lawyer, it’s like, ‘Seen with mystery man.’ I also don’t care,” Johnson said during her appearance on Vogue’s “The Run-Through” podcast last month.
“I think it’s just, kind of, futile.”
She continued, “People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that. I would much rather focus on other things in my life.
She added: Every day, there’s something on the internet that’s ridiculous and true or not true, and I don’t care, like, get a life.”
