If you're unfamiliar with the Yahoo Fantasy Football Expert League, let's fill you in a bit before we go over Week 7. Yahoo Fantasy houses some of the leading analysts in the industry, and we were fortunate enough to get all of them in a league for the 2026 NFL season. To keep you up to date on things, we'll be providing weekly recaps on all the action. Let's get into it.
Here's a quick look at what the standings as we approach the mid-way point of the fantasy the season:
Before we recap the matchups and look at where each manager lands in the standings, we had multiple trades last week! Ooooo, how exciting! We're going to break down each trade and see how managers came out after Week 7.
Trade No. 1
Pianowski receives: Alvin Kamara, RB, NO and Colston Loveland, TE, CHI
Boone receives: Hunter Henry, TE, NE and Jordan Mason, RB, MIN
The two featured pieces in this deal are Loveland and Mason. Pianowski gets a TE1 with plenty of upside the rest of the season. Pianowski knew he was taking a bit of a risk dealing Mason as he returned to action, but replaces Juwan Johnson with Loveland, a much better tight end play. The Bears' second-year tight end has a very favorable second-half schedule.
Pianowski has a lack of depth at his RB2 spot, with his other options being TreVeyon Henderson, Tyrone Tracy Jr. (who just landed on IR) and now Kamara. The Saints are on bye in Week 8 and could get Travis Etienne Jr. back in the fold. But Kamara should retain his role in the passing game.
@YahooFantasy We're obviously both searching for RB2s, so if Mason pops it will hurt. But I'm not afraid to make trades. Here's hoping the Bears finally unlocked Loveland.

Boone will need to figure out how to navigate George Kittle's Week 8 bye by streaming a tight end, but it made sense to deal one of his tight ends for depth elsewhere. He's adding Mason, who could take over as the RB1 in Minnesota, looking at plenty of positive game scripts. Boone then dropped Henry in a move to stash Seth McGowan with a potential Jonathan Taylor trade on the horizon. It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for him.
Trade No. 2
Allen receives: Garrett Wilson, WR, NYJ and Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, HOU
Winks receives: Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN
First off, this trade helped no one in Week 7. Wilson busted as Omar Cooper Jr. had another big game, plus MHJ had one catch, albeit a six-yard TD. Jefferson had four catches for 44 yards against the Colts. But this wasn't a play for the short term.
Allen needed more depth at WR as his other options behind JJ were Chris Godwin Jr., Ladd McConkey, Deebo Samuel Sr. and Courtland Sutton. He also has Geno Smith at QB with Lamar Jackson sidelined, so stacking Geno and Wilson made some sense in the short term.
For Winks, this was a "swing for the fences" type of move. He didn't have to eat Jefferson's bye week, which is a plus. Winks is now 6-1 and in first place with decent depth. Now, he pairs Jaxon Smith-Njigba with Jefferson at WR, which could be a lethal combo if the Vikings wideout gets on track. Winks also got Josh Jacobs back at RB and has a few injured players (Mike Evans, Terrance Ferguson) who could return soon. Winks is well positioned to compete for the title, which not everyone in the league was a fan of.
Hey admin, you must have forgotten some more players and/or a % of Hayden’s paycheck going back to Chris’ side here on the graphic.

Week 7 league recap
It's looking like a three-manager race at the top with Winks (6-1), Pianowski (6-1) and Boone (5-1-1). Both Winks and Boone are on five-game heaters and Pianowski bounced back after a down Week 6.
It was a rough week for Harmon, who had the low score of Week 7 with 66.8 points in the loss to Winks. After winning three straight, Harmon is 1-3 over the past four weeks. He'll some of players to turn things around if he wants to get into the playoffs, including Derrick Henry, Jaylen Waddle and Michael Wilson. But fantasy football is peaks and valleys, so we're holding out hope the Yahoo analyst can rebound.
I was not joking when I said Derrick Henry (slump) and James Cook (bye) were carrying my team. https://t.co/Eris7Srw3L

Pianowski had the second most points of the week with double-digit totals riddled throughout his lineup. His two trade acquisitions combined for 26.1 points. Not too shabby. He took down Joel Smyth, 146.96-104.72. Smyth fell to 2-5 on the season as a down game by Jahmyr Gibbs' standards sunk his ceiling, plus Nico Collins and Tyler Higbee not coming through.
The matchup between Dan Titus and Josh Norris came down to the wire on MNF. Titus rostered Dak Prescott and Darius Cooper while Norris had Saquon Barkley, back after missing two games with a hamstring injury. Fortunately for Norris, Barkley was able to do just enough before aggravating the injury. The Eagles didn't push Prescott to throw more, though he did have a decent game with 23.23 points. Still, it wasn't enough as Titus lost 106.82-99.98 to drop to 1-6 on the season.
We had another tight one between Eric Froton and Ray Garvin go down to MNF. Froton got plenty from CeeDee Lamb (21.9 FPTS) while Garvin had George Pickens (13.7 FPTS). But a goose egg from TE Jake Ferguson sent Garvin packing with a 124.50-118.22 L in Week 7. And he wasted a 35-spot from Tony Pollard. Tough scene.
Oh, we almost forgot Week 7's top scorer, Eric Edholm, who may be the darkhorse of this league. He made swift work of Max Loeb, winning by more than 60 points, thanks to a STACKED roster featuring Puka Nacua, Trey McBride, Javonte Williams, Quinshon Judkins and the emerging Tre Tucker. Edholm will have his hands full in Week 8 against the first-place Winks.
