Week 7 of the NFL season concluded with 11 Maryland football alumni seeing the field.
Las Vegas Raiders right tackle DJ Glaze recorded his best blocking performance on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite a 35-21 loss, Glaze held up well in protection for veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Glaze received a 76.9% overall blocking grade from Pro Football Focus. While it is not the greatest mark, it was Glaze’s highest general blocking grade in seven weeks.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, native was also strong in pass protection. He received an 83.7% grade in 53 total passing plays. Glaze allowed no pressures, hurries, hits and sacks, securing a clean slate he hasn’t had since Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.
While the 24-year-old continues to play in a starter role he’s held for three seasons, Las Vegas will look to get back in the win column at now 3-4. They have played in tight games, but have lost four straight since Sept. 27 against the Saints.
The Raiders will travel to take on the New York Jets Sunday at 1 p.m. on FOX.
