An alleged cannibal who is accused of killing and eating nearly 40 people has been arrested in Uganda and could be executed.
Over a 15-year period between 2010 and 2025, 'evil' Mujurizi Moses is suspected of having butchered 38 people.
Uganda's top police officer has described Moses as the worst serial killer and cannibal in the African country's history and vowed to execute him.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, chief of defence forces in Uganda, said: 'I am glad to inform our fellow citizens that the security forces have arrested the evil Mujurizi Moses.
'The worst serial killer and cannibal in Uganda's history. He killed and ate 38 people between 2010-2025 in Masaka, Ibanda and Kazo.
'We will try him in public and definitely execute him.'
Moses had allegedly targeted whole families when he would break into their homes and kill them, according to Metro.
The newspaper cites local investigators as saying Moses would drill through the walls of victims' houses before hacking them to death with a machete.

One of his victims reportedly includes Pentecostal pastor Steven Mugambe.
The killer cannibal allegations first came to light when Ugandan citizens came forward to police, claiming Moses had murdered their relatives.
The report into the investigation, seen by Metro, claims 35 people had been killed in similar attacks in Greater Masaka, southern Uganda.
Moses was allegedly captured by the authorities multiple times but either managed to escape or was released under disputed circumstances.
Uganda Radio Network reported on October 16 that the suspect faced murder and human trafficking charges after a woman was killed in Greater Masaka on September 28.
The victim had been lured into a 'ritual murder' with the promise of a relationship, according to investigators.
Ugandan authorities are now probing missing person cold cases, NDTV reports, to investigate whether there are links to Moses.
His arrest has drawn attention to several alleged killings between 2010 and 2025.
