A massive showdown in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale ends when Kim Tate (Claire King) stabs DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge), unaware that the woman is actually her daughter.
Last week, Ramsden reached the conclusion that Kim and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were planning to sell Baby Tate.
Thea convinced herself that Kim was planning to get rid of the newborn, given that she was also put up for adoption shortly after birth.
While Thea plotted revenge, she had no idea someone else was also busy doing the same thing. A mysterious figure broke into the cottage where Graham had been staying and took Baby Tate, leaving Graham and Kim horrified.
In tonight’s episode, as Graham follows a trail created by the kidnapper, Kim is going out of her mind with worry due to the weird noises in Home Farm.
She rings Thea for some help, but Kim soon begins to wonder if the copper orchestrated Baby Tate’s vanishing.
Believing that she’s also in danger, Kim tries to run out of Home Farm, but Thea has already locked the doors.
She’s then involved in a scuffle with Thea. While the detective tries to hold Kim, she fails to spot her grabbing a knife.
Kim then makes a deadly move and stabs Thea in the stomach.
But is Thea going to survive this?

While spoilers for the ITV soap have confirmed that Kim will rush Thea to hospital, we don’t actually know if she will survive.
At the moment, Kim still doesn’t know that Thea is her daughter.
It’s possible that she could reveal this just before she takes her final breath but, then again, Thea could survive and drop the bombshell on Kim in the aftermath…
Teasing the drama unfolding this week, star Chelsea Edge said: ‘It is a big turning point. It all comes to a head, and there’s a real ‘like mother like daughter’ moment in their fieriness that we experience through Halloween – which is very fitting!’
