ONE Championship is gearing up to close its 2026 U.S. primetime calendar in spectacular fashion, officially adding two high-stakes MMA battles to the ONE Fight Night 50 on Prime Video lineup.
ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion Kade Ruotolo will collide with former divisional king Ok Rae Yoon, while surging Swiss standout Maurice Abevi squares off against unbeaten Turkish powerhouse Dzhabir Dzhabrailov in a crucial welterweight clash. Both bouts take place inside the revered Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, December 18, in U.S. primetime.
Leading the charge is a lightweight MMA showdown that pits one of the most decorated grapplers on the planet against a former divisional titleholder determined to punch his name back into the World Title mix.
The 23-year-old Ruotolo has taken to the all-encompassing sport with terrifying ease. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt boasts a perfect 4-0 MMA record with a 100 percent finishing rate, walking away with a US$50,000 performance bonus every single time he has donned the four-ounce gloves.
His most recent outing emphatically proved he is far more than just a ground specialist. The California native completely floored Hiroyuki “Japanese Beast” Tetsuka with a perfectly timed right cross before closing the show with heavy elbows from mount to secure a career-first triumph via knockout.
Factor in his glorious submission grappling campaign on the global stage, and Ruotolo is a flawless 10-0 under the ONE banner. However, standing across the ring will be absolutely no easy out — a man who knows exactly what it takes to reach the ultimate mountaintop.
Ok brilliantly captured the ONE Lightweight MMA World Title by dethroning Christian “The Warrior” Lee, earning ONE’s 2021 Male MMA Fighter of the Year honors along the way. He brings a battle-tested 17-6 record into the contest, fueled by a massive motivation to snap a frustrating two-fight skid.
Over at welterweight, two relentless finishers are on a violent collision course.
Abevi has been an absolute force ever since bouncing back from a narrow defeat in his promotional debut. The 27-year-old has aggressively racked up three successive victories, including two spectacular highlight-reel finishes against Samat Mamedov and Blake Cooper.
The Phuket Grappling Academy and Tiger Muay Thai star now owns a stellar 9-1 professional record, with eight of those victories arriving in devastating fashion.
A genuine all-rounder armed with a relentless motor, the Swiss powerhouse is highly comfortable wherever the fight goes and rarely needs the judges to decide his fate.
He will undoubtedly need every single ounce of that engine against the undefeated Turkish warrior Dzhabrailov. The 21-year-old Lions MMA Club Phuket representative is a perfect 7-0 with a 100 percent finishing rate, flawlessly combining a punishing wrestling base with fight-ending power.
His most recent performance perfectly showcased both attributes. After being surprisingly dropped by fellow unbeaten welterweight Chase “Mannimal” Mann in the main event of ONE Fight Night 42, he battled back to earn a vicious fifth consecutive opening-round finish.
All four men will have one eye fixed firmly on the very top of the mountain.
Two-division ONE MMA World Champion Lee aggressively defends his lightweight MMA crown against Kade’s twin brother, ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo, at The Inner Circle 37 on Friday, November 6. With Lee also reigning supreme at welterweight, a massive statement win on December 18 could instantly fast-track any of these four contenders directly toward a shot at 26 pounds of gold.
