KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has concluded its governance monitoring of the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) after the agency implemented all agreed improvement recommendations.
In a statement, HRD Corp said MACC had given it a "completed" status in an official letter received on Oct 26.
HRD Corp chairman Datuk Rusli Jaafar said the achievement was made possible through the support of Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan Ramakrishnan, the corporation's leadership and MACC.
He also expressed confidence in the organisation's direction under chief executive Datuk Shamir Aziz.
"This achievement is a testament to the dedication, professionalism and hard work of the entire team at HRD Corp.
"Since Datuk Shamir came on board, HRD Corp has continued to build on a strong foundation with a clear focus on the work ahead," he said.
Rusli said the corporation would maintain high standards of integrity, accountability and good governance under its current leadership.
"With strong leadership and a committed team in place, HRD Corp will maintain the highest levels of integrity, accountability and good governance as we drive Malaysia's human capital development forward," he said.
HRD Corp is an agency under the Human Resources Ministry responsible for managing funds for human resource development.
The funds support the training, retraining and skills upgrading of employees, apprentices and trainees.
The corporation also works to strengthen Malaysia's training market and promote innovation, quality and inclusive access to skills development nationwide.
