This year’s International Travel Fair (ITF), to be held from Nov. 6 to 9 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, is to showcase themed itineraries as travelers increasingly seek unique experiences rather than just destinations.
The fair, organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association, would feature exhibitors from 123 countries and cities.
They include Antarctic expeditions, Arctic aurora tours, scenic rail journeys, cruises, and seasonal trips featuring New Year’s Eve fireworks, snow activities and Lunar New Year events.

These, along with long-haul around-the-world trips, as well as hiking and nature experiences, are expected to be among the most popular offerings.
Lion Travel would be offering a 20-day Antarctic Peninsula voyage aboard a luxury expedition cruise ship next year. The itinerary includes crossing the Drake Passage and making guided landings on the ice to offer close-up views of penguins and glaciers.
South East Travel Service Co would showcase “Peace Boat” world cruises, a 104-day voyage next year from Keelung to several destinations, including Africa and Alaska, and a 106-day trip in 2028 from Kaohsiung featuring the Icelandic aurora, French Polynesia and Peru’s Machu Picchu.
Travel agencies and hotel operators would also launch special promotions during the event.
AsiaYo said it would highlight land and sea travel, offering cruises, ski trips, sports-themed packages, day tours and eSIM services.
Unitravel Services Co said its online promotion, effective immediately, offers “buy one, get one free” airfare deals, free gratuities and special flat-rate packages.
Grand Hi-Lai Hotel is to join its Taipei and Kaohsiung properties in offering accommodation promotions online and at the exhibition.
Cosmos Hotel Group and other hotel chains would also offer discounted accommodation packages.
