BNB Standard Corporation no longer wants to simply hold BNB. It wants to help run the network behind it.
The Louisville-based company, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker BNC, plans to launch its own validator on BNB Chain. The plan comes from newly appointed CEO Alex Odagiu, who takes the helm as the firm marks a rebrand and a leadership change with a trip to the Nasdaq opening bell.
A new CEO, a new name, and a validator
Odagiu was named chief executive effective October 19, 2026. He is not exactly a newcomer, having served as interim president and as a director since June 2026.
His résumé leans heavily on the ecosystem he now oversees. He previously worked as an investment partner at YZi Labs, where he specialized in BNB Chain, and also spent time at Goldman Sachs.
The company itself is also getting a fresh identity. BNB Standard was formerly known as CEA Industries, and it will celebrate both the rebrand and the leadership transition by ringing the Nasdaq opening bell on October 26, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. ET.
The headline initiative is the validator. BNB Standard plans to keep governance of the validator in-house while handing the technical operations to a specialist provider.
The company frames the validator as a key step toward building on-chain business activity that fits its broader strategy of managing its large treasury.
The treasury behind the strategy
As of July 31, 2026, BNB Standard held 515,544 BNB, valued at $302.3 million. That stake made up approximately 93.1% of the company’s total assets.
Odagiu’s stated goal is to grow BNB holdings per share. That metric measures how much BNB each share of the company effectively represents, and it has become a favored yardstick among crypto treasury firms.
What this means for BNB Standard and its shareholders
Several milestones are worth watching from here. The first is the October 26 bell ringing, which serves as the company’s formal public debut under its new name and leadership. The second is the actual rollout of the validator, including which specialist provider handles the technical side and how quickly the company goes live. The third is whether BNB holdings per share actually climbs under Odagiu, since that is the scoreboard he has chosen for himself.
