Recently, after a series of health mishaps in the wrestling world, fans were again concerned when the news of legend Perry Saturn’s hospitalization became public. Former WWE wrestler and YouTuber Maven recently revealed that Saturn had been in and out of the hospital and unreachable for several days.
Saturn has now explained what happened. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Saturn revealed that he contracted COVID-19 for the third time despite being vaccinated. Saturn further shared that when his breathing worsened, he lost his voice and had trouble talking; he returned to the emergency room, where doctors also diagnosed an upper respiratory infection.
Saturn stayed in the ER for about 48 hours, coughing up thick mucus and finding it hard to get relief. He stated that a doctor acknowledged uncertainty about the issue, and after limited help for his cough, he brought along his own over-the-counter medicine.

Once treatment began, his condition improved, and two days later, he was back up. The WWE legend is currently recovering but still requires his cough medicine. Saturn also hilariously compared his illness with the feeling of having Yokozuna sitting on his chest with Rikishi on his lap.
Saturn, 60, is a former ECW, WWE, and WCW star, where he spent the most successful years of his career. While he also actively wrestled in the indies, fans became aware of him through his work in the above-mentioned three promotions. He also successfully managed to win several tag-team and singles titles across all of these promotions. Now retired from in-ring action, his last match dates back to 2013.
