Ghanaian media personality and actress Nana Ama McBrown has expressed awe at the massive turnout for hip-hop icon Sarkodie’s latest Rapperholic concert in Kumasi, praising the overwhelming show of love and support from fans in the Ashanti Region.
Reacting to the packed atmosphere, McBrown famously declared, “Asante yɛ Oman,” emphasizing how the city of Kumasi rallied behind the award-winning rapper.
Sharing her experience at the event, the actress explained that she was already scheduled to be in Kumasi that evening and seized the chance to unwind. Recalling how heavy rain and severe traffic disrupted her experience during the previous year's concert, McBrown made sure to head out early this time.
Although she anticipated Sarkodie would hit the stage around 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m., she arrived at the venue by 11:00 p.m. Popular blogger Kobby Kyei helped her settle in before the main rush began, securing her a comfortable seat while long queues of ticket holders were still filing in outside.
The scale of the event became even clearer after midnight. McBrown noted that after stepping away at 12:30 a.m. to greet Sarkodie backstage, she returned to find the entire venue—including the VIP section—packed to capacity.
Impressed by the artist's star power, McBrown remarked, “Sarkodie knows who he is,” underscoring his unmatched ability to command large crowds.
Beyond the entertainment, the star praised the event’s tight security and safety measures, highlighting the visible presence of police officers, military personnel, Ghana National Fire Service officials, private security guards, and standby ambulances.
While acknowledging that ticket-to-wristband exchanges caused some entry delays for VIP guests, McBrown emphasized that the minor bottleneck did not diminish the energy of the night, describing the concert as a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
