Camryn Bynum may have left Minnesota with a frustrating loss. However, the Indianapolis Colts safety still gave NFL fans something to smile about after his Week 7 reunion with Harrison Smith. Following Indianapolis’ 16-10 defeat to the Vikings at US Bank Stadium, the former teammates struck an exaggerated, smoldering pose for a photograph that quickly made the rounds on social media. Bynum later explained the hilarious moment with a playful message on X.
“Harry taught me a million things about playing safety. I taught him how to hit the lightskin face 🎬😂,” Bynum wrote, poking fun at the expression that has become part of his online persona.
The photograph offered a glimpse into the close relationship the two defensive backs built during Bynum’s four seasons in Minnesota. Smith served as a mentor while Bynum developed into a dependable NFL safety. That’s before signing a four-year, $60 million deal with Indianapolis ahead of the 2025 campaign. Seeing the usually stoic Smith join in on the joke made the reunion especially entertaining for fans of both teams.

Bynum’s 2026 season has also been defined by consistency amid Indianapolis’ struggles. He has started all seven games. He has recorded 26 combined tackles, two passes defended, and an interception while helping coordinate the secondary. Even during a difficult stretch for the Colts, Bynum’s communication and coverage discipline have remained important assets.
The loss to Minnesota was another setback for Indianapolis, though. The Colts now face a crucial divisional matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. Still, Bynum’s viral moment showed that football relationships can outlast team changes and tough results. For fans, the playful exchange was a welcome reminder that Bynum brings personality and leadership alongside his on-field contributions.
