According to Mike Coppinger’s sources, Devin Haney’s first fight under his new deal with DAZN will have him taking on Liam Paro on December 19 at San Francisco’s Chase Center. The fight will be a two belt welterweight unification fight with Haney’s WBO and Paro’s IBF belts both on the line.

This proposed fight will have Haney, 27, back in action just over a year from the last time he was in the ring, taking a decision win over Brian Norman to snag the WBO title. He was since in discussions to face several other top fighters but all of those talks fell through for one reason or another — with the most recent being a failed fight against Shakur Stevenson.
Paro, 30, won his IBF title in a June decision over Lewis Crocker, but he’ll be a considerable underdog heading into this fight as Haney looks to pick up another welterweight strap on his path to becoming undisputed champion at 147.
