Hankook Tire & Technology (161390.KS) said on the 26th that it will supply its ultra-ultra-high-performance (UUHP) tire, the Ventus S1 evo Z, as original equipment for Porsche's new Panamera.
The latest supply deal adds 21-inch sizes for the first time, including 275/35 ZR21 for the front axle and 325/30 ZR21 for the rear. The 19- and 20-inch sizes that Hankook Tire has supplied for the Panamera since 2021 will also be fitted to the new model. With the addition, the Ventus S1 evo Z now offers a full lineup spanning 19 to 21 inches.
The tire was designed to balance the Panamera's comfortable ride with dynamic driving performance. Beyond the standard approval tests for the vehicle segment, it underwent top-speed trials at Germany's Nurburgring Nordschleife to verify structural durability and its ability to handle high-performance sports driving.
The Ventus S1 evo Z uses an asymmetric tread pattern to deliver sharp handling and stable grip. Its tread blocks were engineered to maintain optimal block stiffness across different driving conditions. The tire also adopts a dual-carcass structure reinforced with aramid hybrid fiber to improve stability at high speeds.
In July, Hankook Tire also supplied original equipment tires for the 911 Carrera, Porsche's signature sports car. Starting with the Macan in 2015, the company has delivered original equipment tires for key Porsche models including the Cayenne super-premium sport utility vehicle, the all-electric Taycan sports car and the 718 Boxster high-performance roadster.
