Awards season is just around the corner and the favourite to win the Best Actor Oscar is playing a Scottish character.
The film awards season is hotting up, with big hitters like Wild Horse Nine, Elsinor, La Bola Negra and Dune: Part Three set to hit cinemas in the net few months.
They are all predicted to join the already-released films The Odyssey, The Invite and Project Hail Mary when it comes to who will be battling it out for the industry’s biggest awards - the Oscars.
The nominations will be announced on January 21, with the ceremony held on Sunday, March 14.
But the bookies reckon they already have a pretty good idea of who is likely to win.
Here’s who is favourite to be up for - and win - the Best Lead Actor gong that last year went to Michael B. Jordan for playing twin dramas in vampire horror Sinners.
