Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said all prisoners, including Imran Khan, will move to Islamabad’s new model jail. He said the Islamabad administration would decide on transfers once the facility became fully operational.
Tarar also discussed Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional peace. He described the recent meeting in Tehran as a major achievement for Pakistan. He credited Field Marshal Asim Munir with helping bring Muslim countries together for the meeting.

Tarar said Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace would be remembered. He expressed hope that the Tehran meeting would produce positive results. He also clarified that consultations on the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment had not yet begun. He said developments in December and beyond would determine the next steps.
The minister also commented on the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He ruled out discussions about the provincial government’s return and claimed that chapter had closed. Tarar criticised Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other PTI leaders. He accused them of weakening the party’s political position.
Tarar said authorities had placed Imran Khan’s sisters in protective custody because of concerns about public order. He said officials would decide on their release after assessing any remaining security risks. He also criticised their statements and activities outside Adiala Jail. He claimed Indian media had broadcast their remarks.

The information minister further alleged that PTI had lost its political strength. He claimed the party could not gather even 100 to 150 people across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also criticised Mahmood Khan Achakzai over his statements about Islamabad and Kabul.
Tarar urged Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to separate national security issues from politics. He called on the religious leader to help counter terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tarar also defended the province’s mining system and said governance remained open to debate. He added that the Pakistan Peoples Party had not yet adopted a clear position on provincial matters.
