One of Ethereum’s early investors has resurfaced today after a long period of silence. Lookonchain reported that the investor, who had been inactive for nine years, sold approximately 1,500 ETH worth about $3.46 million.
According to the platform’s research, the investor participated in Ethereum’s initial sale, purchasing 100,000 ETH at approximately $0.31 per unit. The cost of this initial investment was reported as approximately $31,000.

The initial cost of the 1,500 ETH reportedly sold today, calculated at the same purchase price, is only $465. This represents approximately a 7,440x difference between that amount and the sale price mentioned in the post.
However, the investor’s Ethereum position remains high even after the sell-off. Lookonchain reported that the investor still holds 48,500 ETH, worth approximately $112.7 million at the time of the update.
Therefore, today’s sale, when considered together with the reported after-sale balance, corresponds to 3% of the current amount of 50,000 ETH.
