DAMASCUS: Syrian authorities said at least six people were killed in strikes on Monday in the country's south, as Jordan said it had targeted "terrorist organisations" after a deadly jihadist attack on a church.
In an updated statement, health authorities in Daraa province reported "six martyrs, including three children and a woman", after earlier reporting eight victims.
Syria's civil defence agency instead reported a total of seven people killed in several locations — six of them in Daraa province, including three children.
It also reported that a man was killed when a strike targeted a home in neighbouring Sweida province, adding that his body was still being recovered from under the rubble.
