KUALA LUMPUR: AME Elite Consortium Bhd has secured a RM120 million contract to build a manufacturing and testing facility for global cooling solutions provider BAC in Nilai, Negri Sembilan.
Its construction arm AME Construction Sdn Bhd received the contract from project owner Rock Link Sdn Bhd to develop a 30,000 sq m facility, which is scheduled for completion within 14 months.
The plant will serve as BAC's Asia Pacific regional technical hub, supporting demand for cooling systems used in data centres, artificial intelligence infrastructure and advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Located in Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai, the development comprises a single-storey detached factory, a two-storey regional engineering office and ancillary support buildings.
The facility will manufacture closed-circuit cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, hybrid systems and liquid cooling solutions.
It will also house a climate-controlled laboratory for engineering teams to develop and test cooling technologies suited to tropical climates and high-density applications.
The project is designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold and FM Approved standards.
AME Elite executive director and group chief executive officer Dylan Tan Teck Eng said demand for specialised industrial facilities was growing as global technology supply chains evolved.
He said the group's in-house construction capabilities enabled it to deliver technically complex facilities within accelerated timelines to meet multinational customers' requirements.
The latest award adds to AME Elite's external construction and engineering order book, which stood at RM485.7 million as at June 30, 2026, before the contract was secured.
The group has also undertaken projects in the aerospace and advanced technology sectors, reflecting demand for specialised industrial developments serving multinational companies.
