The Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS) team used AI and Google Search to unite a 70-year-old woman suffering from mental health issues and memory loss with her kin after 16 days on Monday.
Razak Bi had boarded the wrong vehicle in her native Ranebennur in Karnataka's Haveri district and landed in Nalasopara in Palghar district on October 6, after which personnel from Achole police station took her to Samarth Ashram in Virar Phata for shelter, they added.
"The JAS team, combining Google Search techniques with ChatGPT to analyze localized information, managed to contact police in Ranebennur rpt Ranebennur. We also mobilised local community networks. It led us to her daughters, sons-in-law and nephews, who took her home on October 22," trustee Kisan Choure said.
Reflecting on the successful effort, Choure said, "Technology shows the way, compassion brings families together."
