Inside Novak Djokovic’s $11 million Marbella mansion and details on his relationship with wife Jelena

Novak Djokovic’s Marbella villa is known for its scale, distinctive architecture and private sports facilities.

Reports put the property at approximately 1,000 square meters of indoor space on a plot measuring around 3,500 square meters. Its nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms give the family room to accommodate relatives and guests while maintaining privacy. The property is located in Sierra Blanca, an exclusive residential area above Marbella on Spain’s Costa del Sol. Its position offers views of the Mediterranean and nearby mountains, while the neighborhood provides distance from the busiest tourist areas.

Djokovic acquired the house in 2020 after initially renting it, according to local reporting. The home’s interiors blend Mediterranean influences with Moroccan-inspired details. Reports describe marble flooring, crystal chandeliers, arched doorways and bright living areas that create a spacious, elegant atmosphere. Rather than relying solely on decorative luxury, the property also includes dedicated spaces for exercise, recovery and family recreation. Its amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a spa with a Turkish bath and sauna, and a private cinema and games room. Outside, the tennis court gives Djokovic a convenient place to practise without leaving the property. These features reflect the practical demands of an elite athlete who spends much of the year travelling for competitions. The villa became especially visible during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when Djokovic and his family spent extended periods there.

Social media glimpses showed the family exercising and enjoying tennis-related activities at home, offering fans a rare look at their private routine.

Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena’s family life

Novak and Jelena Djokovic have known each other since their school years in Serbia. They became engaged in 2013 and married on July 10, 2014. Their family includes two children: son Stefan and daughter Tara. Jelena has supported Novak throughout his professional career while developing her own work in philanthropy.Jelena is co-founder and global CEO of the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which focuses on early childhood education and support for disadvantaged children in Serbia. Her work gives her a public role beyond being the wife of a world-famous tennis player, although the couple generally keep their children's private lives away from extensive media attention. The Marbella house provided a setting where family life and Novak’s training could overlap.

A private court, gym and recovery facilities allow exercise to fit around family routines, while the larger home offers space to spend time together between tournaments. However, Marbella is no longer confirmed as the family’s main base. Architectural Digest reported that Djokovic appeared to confirm a move to Athens in November 2025, explaining that the family wanted an environment that would better support their children’s well-being and give them more privacy.

Details of their current Greek residence have not been publicly established.

How Novak Djokovic’s global property portfolio compares

Djokovic’s property history reflects the international nature of professional tennis. His residences and investments have been associated with locations where he has trained, competed or maintained family connections; not every property is confirmed as a current residence, and reported valuations should be treated as estimates rather than official appraisals.Monte Carlo was an important base for Djokovic for approximately 15 years after he began his professional career, and its location offered access to European tournaments and training facilities, while the city has long attracted international athletes. In 2020, he shifted his base to Marbella, where he had spent time with his family before purchasing the villa. The later reported move to Athens reflects a different family priority.

Djokovic has spoken about finding an environment where his children can grow up with greater privacy and where the family can spend more time together. While details about the Greek property are limited, the relocation shows why a luxury home’s importance is not measured only by its price or amenities.

What happened to Novak Djokovic’s other property investments?

Djokovic’s New York property interests include two apartments in the Renzo Piano-designed 565 Broome SoHo development.

Architectural Digest reported that the units were purchased in 2017 for a combined price exceeding $10 million. Features reported for the building include floor-to-ceiling windows, heated floors and private elevator access. In Miami Beach, he previously owned a condominium at Eighty Seven Park. Real estate reporting states that the apartment was purchased for approximately $5.77 million and later sold for around $6 million.

The transaction illustrates that not every property in an athlete’s portfolio remains a long-term family residence. His connections to Serbia also remain significant. Reports have described a Belgrade penthouse and a larger lakeside property, although current ownership and valuations should be treated carefully unless confirmed by reliable, recent records.Overall, Novak Djokovic’s Marbella mansion remains a striking example of how a professional athlete’s home can combine luxury, family comfort and training infrastructure. Its private court, spa and generous living spaces are a nod to the demands of a global tennis career, while the family’s reported move to Athens illustrates the way home choices can change as personal priorities evolve. The villa is part of a wider international property story and not definitive proof of where the Djokovic family currently lives full-time.
