The show has been assembled from previously unseen 35mm film footage, which will be presented across multiple screens.
It will be accompanied by an integrated lighting show designed by Patrick Woodroffe and an immersive audio mix by Oscar-winning sound engineer Paul Massey.
Stage will premiere at the Uber Arena in Berlin on February 14 next year.
It is presented by Wonderworld in collaboration with the David Bowie Estate and filmmaker Brett Morgen.
The “groundbreaking” production has been described as “blurring the line between cinema and a live concert” and promises fans the “sensations of attending an authentic David Bowie show”.
The footage being used was unearthed by Morgen 10 years ago while he was working on his documentary film Moonage Daydream, which explores Bowie’s creative, spiritual and musical life.

The experience draws on footage from Bowie’s Isolar II tour almost 50 years ago, which is widely regarded as featuring some of the best live performances of his career.
Tickets will go on general sale on October 30 at 9am, with a presale beginning on October 28 at 9am.
Rob Hallett, founder of Wonderworld, said: “David Bowie has bestowed upon us an extraordinary treasure – an unprecedented concert experience that has yet to be witnessed.
“Working hand-in-hand with David Bowie’s Estate and Brett Morgen, we are ensuring this experience is 100% faithful to his legacy while making his genius accessible to global fans and a new generation.”
Bowie had five UK number one singles and 11 UK number one albums during his lifetime, and was best known for songs such as Starman, Ashes To Ashes and Sound And Vision.
He was known for his dramatic changes in sound and appearance throughout his career, beginning as a pop singer in the 1960s before rising to major fame in the 1970s with glam rock albums The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars (1972) and Aladdin Sane (1973).
Bowie embraced soul on the albums Young Americans (1975) and Station To Station (1976), and was among the first white artists to appear on US TV show Soul Train, before exploring krautrock influences on Low (1977), Heroes (1977) and Lodger (1979).
