The OKC Thunder will be short-handed when it hosts the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
OKC will be without Chet Holmgren (right patellar tendinitis), Cason Wallace (left shoulder soreness) and Jalen Williams (left lower leg injury).
The absence of Holmgren could be precautionary, considering it’s the second night of a back-to-back stretch for OKC. He missed all five of the Thunder’s preseason games due in part to a quad contusion.
Wallace exited the first quarter of OKC’s 108-101 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday after running into an illegal screen from Isaiah Jackson. His left shoulder appeared to have popped out of its socket, and he did not return.
Williams then exited the game late in the fourth quarter after going up for a dunk and being fouled by Kris Dunn, causing him to land awkwardly on his left leg. He was stretchered off the court, signaling the severity of the injury.
OKC executive vice president and general manager Sam Presti will hold a media availability at 5 p.m. Monday. The expectation is that an update on Williams will be provided.
