The Bermuda SPCA will host its annual Paws to the Park fundraiser on November 1 at the Botanical Gardens, featuring Halloween-themed activities for pets and families.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda SPCA invites the community to its annual Paws to the Park fundraiser on Sunday, November 1, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Botanical Gardens.
“The event promises a fun morning for families, dog owners, and animal lovers, featuring a Halloween-themed costume contest and the Great Pumpkin Paw-Suit Scavenger Hunt. The costume contest will feature four categories: Spookiest, Funniest, Most Creative, and Best Dressed Family, with prizes for the winners. Scavenger hunt participants will also be entered into a prize draw.
“Costumes are welcome but not required. Pet owners choosing to dress their dogs are reminded to ensure costumes are comfortable, safe, and do not restrict movement, breathing, or vision.”

“Paws to the Park is about bringing our community together to celebrate our love of animals while supporting an important cause,” said April Augustus, Executive Director of the Bermuda SPCA. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy time with our pets, connect with fellow animal lovers, and make a difference for animals across the island.”
A spokesperson added, “Last year, the Bermuda SPCA helped 86 animals find loving homes, provided 37 DogSnip and 69 CatSnip vouchers, and supported 51 families through its Pet Food Assistance Programme.
“Funds raised through Paws to the Park help support this important work, providing care for animals at the shelter while also assisting pets and families throughout Bermuda.
“The event is proudly sponsored by Purina Dog Chow, with generous support from BGA and Endsmeet Animal Hospital.
“The community is encouraged to bring their dogs and enjoy a morning with fellow animal lovers while supporting animal welfare across Bermuda.
“Registration is $25 and includes a goody bag. Advance registration is encouraged to avoid lines, although registration will also be available on the day.
“To register, visit www.spca.bm.”
