The Minnesota Vikings' defense has been the prime attraction in every game this season. While the offense has struggled for most of the season, the defense has remained the backbone of this team.
On Sunday, the defense came through once again with impressive performances from both Blake Cashman and future Hall of Famer Harrison Smith. After the game, Smith spoke about Cashman's play to the media, highlighting and praising it as something that needs to be talked about more.
He stated, "I don’t think he always gets the credit he deserves outside of this area. But he’s one of the best doing it right now.”
Cashman could be on the verge of an All-Pro season and is playing like one of the best linebackers in the NFL, at the very least. For now though, Cashman staying healthy and being one of the key parts of the defense is plenty enough for the Vikings and their 6-0 record.
