Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered a keynote address at the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) Summit, in Singapore, under the theme “Connecting Energy Systems, Powering Tomorrow.” Building on the outcomes of the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting, Dr. Kao outlined three priorities: securing energy supplies through diversification and greater efficiency; strengthening regional connectivity through the ASEAN Power Grid; and mobilising partners and finance to accelerate delivery. He underscored the importance of deeper trust and coordination among ASEAN Member States and invited Dialogue Partners, international organisations, financial institutions and industry to translate ASEAN’s energy priorities into concrete investments and practical cooperation for a more secure, resilient and sustainable energy future.
