Implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system can take months of planning, data migration, and employee training. Oracle NetSuite is introducing an AI-powered approach designed to dramatically shorten that process, potentially allowing businesses to complete implementations in weeks or even days.
Announced at SuiteWorld 2026 in Las Vegas on October 26, NetSuite SuiteExpress combines artificial intelligence, customer-specific business knowledge, and NetSuite’s implementation expertise to accelerate ERP deployment and ongoing system improvements.
The new agentic AI toolset and implementation methodology aims to reduce the manual work involved in setting up NetSuite, helping businesses adopt the software faster while allowing employees to focus on daily operations.
For small businesses with limited IT resources, the approach could make implementing sophisticated business management software less disruptive and resource-intensive.
AI Takes on More ERP Implementation Tasks
SuiteExpress uses two interconnected knowledge bases to understand individual business requirements and recommend appropriate configurations.
The Customer Knowledge Base collects information from meeting notes, documents, spreadsheets, recordings, and existing business systems. It organizes operational requirements, workflows, configuration decisions, and previous validation results into a shared resource.
The NetSuite Knowledge Base draws on proprietary product and industry expertise developed through the company’s experience serving more than 44,000 customers.
By combining these resources, SuiteExpress can recommend implementation steps and perform tasks with oversight from consultants. The system also retains business knowledge for future improvements.
“Long ERP implementations ask too much of customers before they can start realizing value. We’re changing that with SuiteExpress,” said Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president, Oracle NetSuite. “We’re putting decades of NetSuite expertise to work through AI to take on more of the work, helping customers accelerate implementation and optimize their use of NetSuite as their businesses grow. This combination of deep product expertise and AI-driven implementation capabilities sets SuiteExpress apart in the market, helping customers get up and running faster and stay focused on growing their businesses.”
Key Capabilities of SuiteExpress
According to Oracle NetSuite, SuiteExpress addresses several stages of ERP implementation and ongoing operations:
- Faster deployment: AI captures business requirements, identifies gaps, and helps configure NetSuite around an organization’s needs.
- Simplified data migration: AI assists with preparing and validating information transferred from existing business systems.
- Business-specific configuration: The system matches operational requirements with NetSuite capabilities and established industry practices.
- Automated workflow testing: AI creates and runs tests to identify potential configuration or process problems before deployment.
- Guided employee learning: Contextual assistance helps employees learn how to use their company’s specific NetSuite configuration.
- Ongoing improvements: The system recommends additional capabilities and process enhancements as business needs evolve.
- Expansion support: Existing customers can add subsidiaries, enter new markets, or introduce new capabilities without repeating the entire discovery process.
Early Customers Report Reduced Implementation Effort
NetSuite included feedback from customers that have used SuiteExpress, highlighting shorter implementation processes and reduced demands on internal teams.
“I knew NetSuite would be a great fit for our business, but I didn’t expect us to get there so quickly,” said Steve Hehl, chief operating officer, Worksmith. “With SuiteExpress, everything just moved. AI helped connect our systems in a way that was specific to how we operate, and the entire process required far less of our team’s time than I expected.”
Jake Leigh, financial controller at Amba Health, also emphasized the value of retaining implementation knowledge as an organization expands.
“We’ve never experienced an implementation process like this,” said Leigh. “SuiteExpress brings together what makes our business unique with NetSuite’s expertise to help us get up and running faster. And that knowledge stays with us, so every next step builds on the last as we grow.”
What Small Businesses Should Consider
Businesses upgrading from spreadsheets, separate accounting applications, or disconnected operational systems could benefit from faster implementation and reduced demands on employees.
For example, a growing retailer transitioning to an integrated financial and inventory management system could use AI-assisted data preparation and workflow testing to reduce the manual work associated with migration.
However, successful implementation still depends on accurate business information and reliable existing data. Companies should carefully review AI-generated configurations and test critical workflows before relying on the new system.
Businesses should also evaluate how sensitive financial and operational information will be handled when providing documents, recordings, and system data to the knowledge base.
Although NetSuite says SuiteExpress could shorten implementations to weeks or days, the announcement does not provide detailed comparative performance benchmarks, pricing, or a specific general availability timeline. Actual results may depend on organizational complexity and implementation requirements.
NetSuite also emphasizes continued consultant involvement, particularly for important configuration decisions and exceptions.
SuiteExpress reflects a broader opportunity to use AI beyond routine business automation. By applying AI to software deployment and continuous improvement, NetSuite aims to reduce the time businesses spend implementing and maintaining their management systems, potentially making ERP adoption more manageable for smaller organizations pursuing growth.
