The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Monday, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will campaign on the administration’s impeccable records of economic growth and transformation of Nigerians in the past three and a half years.
He stated this in his remark at the inauguration of the Presidential/Governorship Campaign Council of the party in Minna
He said: “The truth of the matter is that the Nigerian economy and the Nigerian people have been transformed by the administration of the APC under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And we are going to campaign on the records that the president has made in the last three and a half years.”
He described APC as the party to beat in the country, adding that the high performances of the president and the state governors have placed the party in position to secure the people’s votes for victory in 2027.
The minister expressed delight to serve in dual capacity at the Presidential Campaign Council and at the Niger state campaign council while commending Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for the appointment into the campaign organisation.
Inaugurating the 525-member campaign council, the Niger state governor, Governor Bago declared that the state will deliver more than two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the next general election through mobilisation from the grassroots upward.
He described the structure as spanning party units to the state level and including political appointees, with total membership exceeding 100,000 over the years.
