Eyes up, Mr. President.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s rally speech in Port Huron, Mich., over the weekend covered a variety of topics, but it was his remarks about Nicki Minaj’s “beautiful” booty that had people talking, especially as his comments came after the “Anaconda” rapper was floated as his next press secretary.
How did it start?
Trump made headlines last week for gushing over Republican Senator Jon Husted’s behind at a rally in Ohio.
On Sunday, the president brought it up, saying, “I had just found out he’s a great athlete. A brutal tackler … I’m looking at him up and down and I’m studying him and then I made the mistake — I told, in fun, I said, ‘I looked at his ass,’ and I’ve never done that with a man before, it’s true.”
He continued: “Off the record — women, yes, men, no, OK? By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before — Nicki Minaj.”
The president pointed at Minaj, who travelled with him to Michigan on Air Force One, and then said, “That’s hard to miss! Stand up! That’s hard to miss!”

How did Nicki react?
The “Super Freaky Girl” rapper stood up as the crowd cheered, and she responded with a thumbs-up.
Trump then welcomed her on stage, where she expressed her eternal devotion to him.
“President Trump, it is an honour to stand with you every single time, and I will continue to support you forever and ever,” she gushed. “If you run again, I will support you again.”

A possible new gig?
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared a clip on X of himself and Minaj chatting on Air Force One while en route to Michigan.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ,” he captioned the post.
Minaj shared Cheung’s post, adding an American flag and a laughing face with a bead of sweat emoji.
In the clip, Cheung asked Minaj how she viewed the state of the economy under President Trump.
“Well, we have a president who understands economics, first of all. You know, I’ve said before that the president is, naturally, a businessman. He’s worked his way out of not having a dollar left in the bank,” she replied.
“If he can do that himself, with his own finances, surely he knows what to do with the country.”
As for his foreign policies, Minaj raved, “He’s tough internationally. He tells them what we need, not what they need.”

Last December, Minaj shocked supporters and fans when she declared her “love” for Trump and Vice President JD Vance, and praised the “heart and soul” of everyone in the Trump administration.
The following month, the “Super Bass” rapper joined Trump at an event in Washington, D.C., where she called herself “the president’s No. 1 fan.”
She added: “And that’s not going to change.”
