In a statement dated October 27, 2026, signed by spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo, the office confirmed that it operates only two authorised social media accounts: a Facebook page and an X (formerly Twitter) account, both under the name "@4thPresidentKE."
Official accounts for the former president's office
The office's Facebook account is listed under the name "Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya," accessible at https://web.facebook.com/4thPresidentKE/.
The corresponding X account, operating under the name "Office of the 4th President of Kenya," is available at https://x.com/4thPresidentKE.
According to the statement, these two platforms are the only channels authorised to communicate on behalf of the office.
Former first family has no personal accounts
The office further clarified that neither Uhuru Kenyatta nor Margaret Kenyatta maintains any personal social media presence. Their children also do not operate personal accounts of any kind.
Members of the public were advised to disregard any pages, profiles, or accounts purporting to speak on behalf of the former president or any member of the former first family, other than the two officially listed accounts.
"The public is urged to rely only on these official platforms for authentic information and communication concerning the former President and the former first family," the statement read.
The clarification was issued from the office's Nairobi address on Dennis Pritt Road and signed by Kanze Dena Mararo in her capacity as spokesperson.
