Week 10 Football Power Rankings
10. Loudonville (4-6, 2-5)
Loudonville dropped its final regular season game to Northmor at home 42-27. Though the Redbirds missed making the Division VII playoffs, they did improve from three wins to four under first-year head coach Keith Lemke.
9. Wooster (3-7, 3-3)
Wooster loss its season finale to West Holmes 42-14 at home and missed qualifying for the playoffs in the loaded Division II. The Generals went winless last season, but improved on that total by winning three games in 2026.
8. Dalton (4-6, 4-3)
It wasn't looking good for Dalton after an 0-4 start, going 2-6, but then rallying to defeat Smithville 28-21 at home in Week 10 for its biggest win of the season. Even with a 4-6 record, the Bulldogs snuck into the Division VII playoffs, where they are a No. 7 seed and will host a first round postseason game against the No. 10 seed Monroevile.
Playoff Matchup: at home vs. No. 10 seed Monroeville (5-4)
7. Chippewa (6-4, 4-3)
All signs pointed to Chippewa getting into the Division VI playoffs, especially with a 6-2 start, but the Chipps fell short after losing their final two games by shutout to Smithville and Hillsdale. The Chipps' head-to-head win over Dalton keeps them above the Bulldogs.
6. Norwayne (6-4, 5-1)
After an 0-3 start to the season, Norwayne turned it around and went 6-1 in its final seven games to claim a share of the Wayne County Athletic League title along with Hillsdale. It was the Bobcats' third consecutive WCAL title and with that, Norwayne will be a No. 12 seed in the Division V playoffs.
Playoff Matchup: at No. 5 seed Bluffton (8-2)
5. Orrville (7-3, 4-2)
Orrville didn't end the regular season the way it hoped to as the Red Riders just didn't have it in their 42-3 road loss to a hot Triway team in Week 10 with at least a share of the Principals Athletic Conference title on the line. Though they lost their final two regular season games to Triway and Akron Manchester (Week 9), Orrville will still host a first round playoff game as a No. 8 seed in the Division IV playoffs.
Playoff Matchup: at home vs. Akron East (9-1)
4. Smithville (8-2, 5-2)
Smithville's chance to win a share of the WCAL title fell short in a 28-21 road loss to Dalton in Week 10 as Smithville finished second in the league standings. After a 7-0 start, the Smithies went 2-2 in their final four games and slipped a few spots in their region for the Division VI playoffs, but they will host a first round playoff game as a No. 7 seed.
Playoff Matchup: at home vs. Grand Valley (8-2)
3. West Holmes (8-2, 5-1)
West Holmes didn't win the Ohio Cardinal Conference (Dover did), but it did finish second in the standings and finished the regular season on a high note with a 42-14 road against Wooster. The Knights are a No. 3 seed in their region in the Division IV playoffs and receive a first-round bye.
Playoff Matchup: First-round bye
2. Hillsdale (9-1, 6-1)
By defeating Chippewa 41-0 on the road in Week 10, Hillsdale clinched the school's first WCAL title since 2014 as the Falcons shared the league crown with Norwayne with a 6-1 record, who they defeated in Week 8, 33-3. The two-time Division VII state runners-up have ramped up their play since its Week 5 loss at Smithville, and heading into the playoffs in a new Division (Div. VI), Hillsdale will look to make another run in a tough region as a No. 4 seed.
Playoff Matchup: First-round bye
1. Triway (9-1, 5-1)

Here is your No. 1 team in the Wayne/Holmes County area for the regular season.
Triway's dominate first half against Orrville at home in Week 10 sealed the deal in the Titans' 42-3 win. By defeating its rivals, Triway won its second-straight outright PAC title in what was a competitive four-team race with Orrville, Akron Manchester and Northwest. No team in the area is playing better football on both sides of the ball than the Titans and after earning a No. 2 seed in their region in the Division V playoffs, don't be surprised if this team makes a deep postseason run.
